A/C has a wierd smell comming out of the vents.
So just a few days ago my a/c started to smell out of the vents when it blows cold air. Any one familiar with this or know what the problem might be? I changed the cabin filter and the a/c works fine and blows cold air. I have no idea why it started to smell...

Spray a little lysol inside the heater vents. Crank the heat up high to dry out whatever mould currently exists in the heater tubing and A/C area. In future turn off the A/C a few minutes before reaching the final destination to allow the fins to dry out a little.
The smell is typically mould casued by condensation on the A/C tubes.

All those grille areas where heat/air into the interior of the car - couple on top of the dash, left and right sides of the dash and the ones in the middle above the central console.
Could also go to the cabin filter you replaced and spray some inside that tubing as well.

Remove the cabin air filter.
Turn the A/C on max
Spray a few ounces of Lysol (pick whatever flavor you like) into the cavity where the cabin air filter goes over the course of a couple of minutes.
Repeat a few times.
When you're done, wipe down the dash and vents to get any lysol residue off. Replace the cabin air filter.
That usually works for me.

Shouldn't have had anything to do with the engine side of things. The cabin filter is just in front of the windshield, right next to the battery. Can u provide a picture of where you sprayed the Lysol?

that is where i spared it right under where the cabin filter sits. but I have a feeling its my fuel pump went out. Cuz i had a humming noise come and go off and on before from the back where the fuel tank is...and I thought it was my fuel filter and after replacing my fuel filter it still was making the noise so I think my fuel pump gave out.. is there any way I can test to see if the fuel pump is functional??

The best way is to purchase a pressure tester and place inline in a fuel line. Cheaper way is to pull a fuel line, feed into a soda bottle, have a friend turn the key to the accessory position for a few seconds (don't start), and see if there is good pressure. Problem with this is I'm not sure how to describe good pressure. Shouldn't to say this, but remember, you are pumping raw gas, so no smoking.
