camber problems
has anyone else had trouble with the camber on their 01 a4 quattro? i lowered my car with neuspeed race springs and have had serious inner tire wear since. what is the fix? alignment, camber kits? most shops that i called didnt want to touch the car like it was kryptonite or something. any feedback will be helpful.

Try to find a camber kit. Common problem. A royal pain that nobody likes to deal with.
On some of the early cars, one of the techs at the dealer where I worked, used to look through a book of generic parts to find a camber kit that would work. I think he used a Hinda kit on the A6.
Have you called Neuspeed ? Of course the expectation is that you'll be racing with racing springs, and the extreme cornering loads will help even out tire wear.

How low is the car? How much negative camber do you have? How much toe in do you have?.....
Rotate your tires front to rear often. From what I have been told camber is not the worst culprit in tire wear. If you have a lot of toe in this can also cause excessive tire wear. Since camber is not usually ajustable and because your car is lowered the camber will be greater, I would suggest you get a wheel alinement and reduce the TOE IN to almost 0 degrees in front, this will help. If you are willing to spend money get some upper adjustable links from C.P.P. (www.customperf.com) and then you will be able to adjust your camber. This is custom made very high quality suspension components which I use on my car. You can go to my picture poster and see them, pictures cppupperarms jpg01 and 02. These will fix your problems guaranteed.
