Can the stock halogen wiring harness and headlamp fuse handle a HID upgrade?
#2
Supposedly it can, since owners do this upgrade with those kits (or maybe they have to use a
different fuse). Not sure. But I had all the same concerns as you when I was looking into HID Kits, E-Codes- upgrading from my Halogens. Also, where all the wires, ballast, igniter,.. would go and what has to be modified. I wanted something that was cleaner and more like OEM HID.
It just depends on which route you want to take and what you want to spend. The Complete HID E-Code Kit is the best bang for the buck IMHO. You get HID E-Codes in one nice package. And I think it is the best choice in the long run because it is basically OEM, not DIY Kit. Who knows how that will last. The only advatage is that you can choose from diferent temps/ranges (5K, 6K, 8K).
