Default Check engine light, PLEASE help...

Hello, I'm new to owning Audi's. And know nothing about cars.

It's a 2005 a4 quattro turbo.

Check engine light came on a few days after purchasing the car, got the following error code from Autozone:
Definition:

Code P000A
indicates that the Bank 1 Engine Position System Performance had a fault lodged after a predetermined period of time.

P000A Code Reads: Intake (A) Camshaft Position Slow Response Bank 1.

What do I need to do? And I don't know many places around here that would be able to work on Audi's? I know of a couple foreign car places.

Also, this is unrelated...but sometimes the dipped left headlight appears and I can see the left headlight go out. It stays on sometimes, but other times it randomly goes out. Just a simple new bulb?

Well, you can clear all your codes and see if it pops up again. Camshaft position sensor could start to go flaky so if it comes up again, order a new one and change it, see if that helps.

What do you mean by that? I'm sorry I know nothing about cars.

How would I clear the code? And order a new camshaft? How much are those for this car?

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/430298-Threw-a-P000A-quot-Camshaft-Position-Slow-quot-Code-Please-tell-me

these sensors go out on all types of cars and are easy to replace...
YouTube it.

it's probably the problem.

based on a quick google search, other issues involve the oil pick up...
in that case, I'd run some kreen though it....works for me.

Update as of today, the check engine light has gone away...I didn't do anything differently or change anything. It did that by itself.

If a fault condition causes a code or cel and it was only a one time transient issue, the cel will eventually disappear. Unfortunately, often the cause is intermittent and the code/cel will reappear.

What does that mean exactly?

Basically, I just want to know if it's something I should be concerned with since it went back off. The system says OK in green when I click the check button.

If the cel reappears, the underlying cause will have to be addressed. If it doesn't, don't worry about it.
