Chip causing problems

Chip causing problems
Just curious if anyone else has had the same problem....happened once last year, and again last night.
Was just pulling up to my house when all of a sudden the car shuts off and the low oil light comes on...tried re-starting the car, but no luck, waited a few minutes and it started up again. The oil in the car is fine, not sure why this happens.
I have a 2002 A4 with a GIAC chip. I had the original chip with the old software originally. Had my installer upgrade the software and chip. Last time this happened, i went back to the stock chip and the car started working fine.
Any help would be appreciated
