Clear Bra Again ...
I'm seriously considering getting a clear bra type protection for the front-end. The only problem is that I haven't seen this in person. Does anyone have any good pictures that show this stuff installed?

Nothing on the A4, but ...
I have some pics from my M Coupe.
Trust me ... from further than 20 feet away, you can't tell this stuff is here.
When the car is clean, you have to get really close.
Look VERY closely, the edges are there. This particular kit is the Stongard kit.

Looks great on darker colors like red, blue, black etc. Silver and white are the "worst" but it still looks good imo. I have it on my lake silver 225TTQC and have been very happy with it. Waaay better than any "bra". Keep in mind, it takes time and patience to install if you do it yourself.
I organized a GP for the TT folks a while back with Invinca shield and they're still offering us the %20 discount. Just use "JJ-then the item number" as the discount code. You can also order it by the pice which is nice. I think the new A4 kit will be out at the end of this month or so. 3M uses the name "Scotchcal Paint Protection Film"
All these films that go by names such as Stongard are a 3M urethane film in either a 6 mil ( by far the most common) or 12 mil thickness. The product is applied wet with a solution of 25% isopropyl alcohol and 75% water. You can buy the product in kits from companies such as Stongard or Invictashield or strips from any 3M Automotive Aftermarket distributor such as NAPA or Carquest. If you get it through a NAPA or Carquest store it will probably have to be special ordered. Here are some 6 mil 3M part numbers: 4" x 84" - 84904
6" x 84" - 84906
12" x 84" - 84911

I recently clear bra'ed my A4...
I have a Dolphin Grey A4, and you can't even tell it's there. The guy who installed mine said it has alot to do with what color car you have if it's noticeable or not. My advise...ask your dealer who they use, and then talk to them. But here in Colorado...it's well worth it!
