The clear plastic that covers the instruments is crap. It scratches so easy.

Default I noticed that too... and I even use a microfiber cloth to clean it with...

is that part replaceable? maybe even under warranty?

Default I did the same thing -m-

I have owned VWs in the past and had the same problem. With the Audi I went the same route as you and used the microfiber cloth and it is scratched to hell already. I like the idea of replacing it and maybe get some sort of clearcoat or clearmask put on it.

It is very anoying having to look at it.

Plastic polish takes some of it out....but not all.

I'm pretty I've got meguiar's....just like any polish try to use the least abrasive first.

Default I've found that low gloss armorall does a nice job actually! Just make sure you don't use Windex ..

to clean it.

yah, any product with amonia will fog up the plastic

Plexus, avail at motorcycle shops, they clean helmet mask with it
