Default coilover question

I know you can be slammed on C/Os, but what is the max height that you can go on them? Comparable to sport, non-sport?

I think most of them are a couple of mm lower than sport.

if you go to www.hrsprings.com it will tell you the range that their application goes.

1.2 - 2.2 drop in the front means only a 1" range?

Default actually, that might just be max lowering between sport and non-sport. hell, I dunno cuz that's way

off. I dropped my car more than 2.2 inches and can go a lot lower still.

Default The range of 1.2 to 2.2 in adjustment is based on the OEM stock NON SPORT suspension only....

When you drop your car you must use a non sports pack car as a reference. Now of course the threaded housing will allow you to drop it more than the specified range from H&R but you are on your own. The specified range is there because H&R tested the kit that way. By dropping the car outside this range the shock/spring combo will not work effectively and under hard cornering or/and bumpy road conditions you will bottom out and hit the bump stops.

Default I've gone beyond the range and I did use non sport but fortunately I am not hitting the stops.

I did cut them in half though.

Default Ah ah, my friend, you cheated. Talk with Roger at H&R he will be in a better position to explain

The range issue to you. At least that's what he told me over two years ago.

Default On my new installed H&R coils, rear height is the problem.

With it cranked all the way up, it's still about 1/4-1/2 lower than my stock sport.

Front isn't a problem, it could go higher than stock sport if I wanted it too. I noticed when the front is too high, it gets bouncy though.

For comparison, rear fender height is right around 25-1/4 with stock 17"'s.
