I had three coilpacks fail on my V6 QM within weeks of each other in December and January. When I took the car in the last time, on January 20, 2003, the dealer, YBH, told me that they would finally be replacing all 6 coilpacks with the new improved version. Unfortunately, they only had three. So they put in the three new ones, left the two old model coilpacks that they replced previosuly and there is still one original in there. I was told that they were expecting more new coilpacks within a week.

It has been a month now, and every time I call I get the storry that they don't have any more new coilpacks in yet. Fortunately, the car has been running fine but I am still reluctant to take the car on any long trips. Are any of you out there still waiting for new coilpacks?

The 3.0 coils seem to be very rare...really gives you a warm fuzzy feeling about the recall!

I found the opposite. They had 3.0 coils in stock, and NO 1.8T coils. So I got same day service.
