Default Coils
I was at my local dealer on Tuesday. They indicated that Audi has now authorized replacing all four coils if one goes bad. Supply is finally increasing - evidently, the coil is the same that is used on the Passat 1.8 (?)which is having the same problem. He also indicated that each coil is around $500. No wonder Audi has been hesitant to do a general recall.

Coils are not $500 each. They are about $50 and I would bet Audi's cost is more like $25 each.

Default My coil is currently worth $1200, and increasing at $40 per day...
I've been without my car for over a month... each day costs Audi $40 in rental fees.
