Cracked windshield!

Cracked windshield!
Was driving on I-85 near Montgomery, AL, when I heard a very loud crack and saw a line running up through my windshield from the lower left-hand side. No other cars were near me, but something definitely hit me, as there is an obvious impact point.
I have a new Audi windshield on order. Anyone had to replace the windshield?

Not yet, but I've had four chips in the last six months. I've gotten them all patched, and it's getting old fast.
BTW, I never had a chip in fifteen years of driving before I got my A4, what's up with that? :-(
