Default Crap..car is still at dealer...can't figure out what is wrong...

Car is fine if you keep it under 3K rpm....had 10 lbs of boost..as evidenced by my boost guage..but if you go over 3K rpm..the car goes into a limp mode..and the boost doesn't hit 5 lbs after that..and then at all rpm levels it is very unresponsive. I have heard an argument for the MAF being a possible source of this problem..they are planning on swapping out the N75 valve...but the tech mentioned changing the control unit next. I hope he checked out the MAF. I really don't want the dealer returning the car to me saying they cannot determine the problem since my car is modified. I don't have a stage 3 set-up so what I modified isn't that drastic...I have an aftermarket panel air filter..I did remove that little screen in the intake plenum (should that affect anything? moisture perhaps?)..I have the bigger injectors..and some salsa...and a neuspeed catback exhaust. Turbo is stock.

I have a call into my friend at AoA..but he may be on vacation... Ugh..this is very depressing. I hate driving this Impala rental.

Default I would doubt that the lack of the winter/pre-filter has anything to do with it.

Myself (as well as others) have gone w/o it for quite a long time with no problems reported. Were you able to inspect the MAF at all for damage or contamination?

As for the N75, that seems to be the part that most boost problems have stemmed from. Were you able to contact Audiboy and have it checked out with the Vag-Com?

Default You need to a VagCom. If you were able to run some logs to MAF and N75 readings i am sure we could

determine the problem. Are you freinds with this dealership by chance?

Default They don't have RossTech stuff at the dealer

So doing data logging with VAGcom is not really an option. I am pretty good friends with this dealership...

Default No..I turned it in before consulting with Audiboy...

He is the one that thinks it is the MAF..and the whole issue of adjusted load being out of whack.

Default No CEL ...no codes thrown...

The problem is..they are probably gonna want me to pay for the new ECU. They are not cheap anymore...AND..that may not solve the problem.
