Does ESP affect acceleration?

I tried to take off from a red light tonight by revving the engine up to about 4000 RPM. I let off the clutch smoothly, but it never felt as though it fully let go. This happened all the way through 3rd gear. I had plenty of engine power, but it didn't feel like it made its way to the wheels...is this just ESP working?

Sounds like you glazed your clutch a bit- let off too slowly @4k, and you'll toast it.

Yeah, I was making a lot of noise, but not a lot of speed....live and learn I guess.

It'll probably go back to normal pretty soon, just be gentle- Also, ESP always flashes when it works
