Door Control Module test?
I have no of any window from the drivers door, no window switch in passenger door (? missing when I bought it, replacement on it's way), rear passenger works normal at door, rear drivers doesn't work at all. I have continuity in all the wires through the door harness I also have power and ground at the DCM plug. I did a VAG COM scan (this was my first experience with the program so I am not real knowledgeable with it) and did not get communication with any door module.
Is there a way to test the Door Control Module? I don't want to start throwing parts at it since I am currently doing that with my wife's Land Rover!
obtw, it's has been a while since I ran the VCDS, but I don't recall there being a "Door Control Module" in there. Further, don't believe there is anything but simple electrical circuitry running the windows (i.e. voltage, wiring, and switches), although the CCM (Comfort Comtrol Module) may be in the loop somewhere.

I tried channels (or maybe address is the right term) 42,52,62 and 72 in VCDS which were each labeled as an individual door. I got a no communication error with each one, maybe that's because my car doesn't use those channels, I don't know. I just ran an auto scan again and got an error 01331 under address 09 and 16 that reads
01331 - Door Control Module; Driver Side (J386)
49-10 - No Communications - Intermittent
There may be just "simple electrical circuitry running the windows" but it sure seems like there are a lot of people running into the same problem that haven't found, or more likely haven't posted, answers.
I'm just trying to work from the door in. I eliminated the harness as a suspect, now just trying to move on to the next thing and it seems like a lot of people suspect the door control module on the window motor. Given that I have a communication error with it I would like to try to confirm/eliminate it as the problem. My Bentley manual just arrived so now I'll have electrical diagrams to go off of.
So there is no way to test the driver's door control module?
