Driver's window switch acting up
I'm starting to get a skipping intermittent operation, and remember seeing a tutorial that getting in there involved multiple steps. It's too cold here, so those steps are going to cost me money, unless I can do something hail-maryish, like spraying electrical contact cleaner into the top of the switch. Would that have a possibility of working? I'm pessimistic. Also, I had an '89 Accord SE-i once (bless that simple little car!) that had really good build quality. After I tore the door apart it was not so great any more.
Suggestions?

I would be skeptical of contact cleaner working also. I have torn my door panel off several times and as long as you purchase new clips and replace any that look questionable, you shouldn't have a problem.

I'm having a similar issue. Sometimes the buttons work, other times they don't. Controlling th other windows via buttons on their corresponding doors is fine but its the driver's door controls that literally flip, skip anf frolic.
I was thinking of replacing the entire assembly with an aftermarket one but I haven't put any action or research behind that thought.
