Default and do you have any regrets about staying with your a4?

I'm really stupid when it comes to cars. Once I get something in my head , that's all I think about. It's silly really. I go over and over my options constantly.

What REALLY sucks about my car is that it is worth far more to me than anyone else. These cars are priced so low now. It's really unbelievable that someone could get into my car for 10-12k easily. I still regard my a4 as a very special piece of machinery (as do my friends, especially since it's always clean and looks uncommonly good for a 6 year old car, hell it looks good for a 2 year old car!).

Default the power potential from the B5 S4 is incredible - there are some Stg IIIs that run 11s

Take a ride in a Stage III S4 if you ever get the chance - ask Tgr_Clw how slow it makes his car seem ;-)

I've wanted an S4 since they first came out, but when I sold my A4 and then my A6, I couldn't decide if I wanted to pull the trigger. Then I saw this video on YouTube and it was no question:-)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=BSAbsfziia8</a

Default I'm only Stage I :-)

MTM ECU (Stage I) 306 bhp/356 ft-lbs tq
APR Bipipe
Samco F-Hose
Lower temp afterrun pump switch
710N aka TT 225 diverter valves
Autospeed Drivetrain Transmission Stabilizer bar
APR Snub Mount
RS4 motor mounts

Coilovers, sway bars, "piggie" pipes (downpipes), exhaust, and larger intercoolers will be done by August, which should put me at Stage II.

Default answers inside

there is no finite classification for Stage I, II, III, but in general the following is accepted:

Stage I - chip
Stage II - chip, exhaust, downpipes
Stage III - chip, exhaust, downpipes, larger turbos, fueling kit

Now keep in mind that there's a LOT of other mods people do in between II and III, and "beyond" III, but those are the basics.

If you were to buy a stock S4, and upgrade to a full blown Stage III, it can cost you > $10K (parts and labor - the 2.7T is a BITCH to work on because the engine bay is so cramped...motor has to be pulled for a lot of jobs) on top of your purchase price for the car. So if you wanted a Stage III S4, the market prices are such that it's cheaper to buy it already at Stage III.
