my engine has been having some issues these last few weeks. ive noticed a decrease in power i.e. motor feels very weak, especially up top. i also noticed that my idle has gotten very eradic and my motor has a little more vibrations than usual. every minute or so at idle, the needle drops a tad and goes back up, making the car "twitch". further, the turbo seems not to be boosting as hard. i recently changed my spark plugs, but couldnt put in 1 step colder copper plugs. i also recently installed the samco inlet hose. during that install, i noticed a fairly decent quantity of oil pouring out from the old inlet. my BOV also had traces of oil on it. my car now has 57,000 miles and im looking to upgrade my turbo. however, i was wondering if someone could help me decipher what could be potential problems in my motor before i slap on a bigger turbo. perhaps my problem is that a have a blown, or almost blown turbo. my engine bay does seem much hotter than normal even under normal driving conditions and the turbo has been slightly glowing without being driven ttoo hard.i am bringing the car in for service in a few months but i could really use some help. thanks in advance.

If the turbo is blown, you will sometimes here it very well making a jet noise. cheers! Mike
