Default ET 30 offset pic

Thought I'd post a pic of the new Wheel Exchange RS4 rep wheels I just put on...ET30 offset. I can't tell a difference from the previous Achtuning RS4 rep (ET35) that I had for the last couple months. They look identical. Just realized my fresh wax job is showing itself off too...there I am in the rear bumper!

Default The difference..

Your ET30 wheels will not tuck under your fenders, ET 35s will tuck under and not rub.

Default In theory yes...

In reality no. I have both sets of wheels and spent 2 hours swapping them out and comparing every detail. Maybe if I had after-market suspension it would rub...but I don't ecpect any problems.

Default Its not theory, its fact..

your wheels stick out 5mm more than your old ones, put three fat chicks in your back seat and I bet you will be buying new tires or doing body work.

I think ET30 is well within the acceptable range for an 8" wheel, especially since he's not lowered.

Default your missing the point, he said he couldn't tell the difference..

Yes the car can be driven fine. I stated what the difference is. If I put those wheels (et30) on my car it would be undrivable. Like wise if he loaded his car up enough it would also have problem because those wheels will not tuck. Its very apparent in the pics he posted that they would rub, if the car sank enough.

Default I'm not missing the point at all, but I disagree...

An ET30 8" wide wheel will fit on an A4 with no rubbing issues whatsoever. It may not look it in his pics, but there is room under there. It's been done time and again. There are guys with even more aggressive setups than this who don't have any rubbing problems (19x8.5" ET30 245/35R19 Tires).

Why do you say they would be undriveable on your car? How low is it?

Are both sets 18 x 8.5 (or 18 x 8)?

Both are 18x8, according to their websites.

Default Look in my poster...

Anymore offset and it would rub constantly.
