flooring 1.8T
i now have 6700 mi on my avant so i finally tried to floor it, i was very disappointed how i can floor it all the way and get a very slow response, like after 2 seconds....... it seems i get more power by accelerating it slowly.... is that how i'ts suppose to be??.... have u tried flooring your cars too and get the same response???? tnx

It has to do with the drive by wire setup (more)
For emissions purposes, the engine won't always give you full power when you floor it - especially if you're below 2000 RPMs (and that's probably compounded on the 1.8T by the turbo needing to spool up as well).
You'll find that if you're already moving and floor it above 2000RPMs, you'll get pretty good response, though yes, it won't always be great. The ECU is trying to avoid a momentary rich condition, which is bad for emissions. The trade off of performance vs. the environment, I suppose.
I have this same experience on my 3.0, as well as on my old 2001 VW GTI VR6 (also drive by wire).

That's the one thing I hate about this car...
The lack of throttle response from a stop. Press the gas and it hesitates to get going. They need to do something about it. (the car is a 1.8 tip)
