FMIC --trouble with Califonia smog?
I was getting more and more interested in an AWE FMIC for my soon to be revo chipped car, and then I realized that it may not pass visual inspection here in califonia. I belive the letter of the law is that it is not allowed, but has anyone been refused a smog certificate for having one? I wonder if it is something they even check for if a really stock looking and sounding car pulls in for smog.
If it is going to be a real issue, I might just get the Apikol upgraded side mount single and hang a fan on the back of it for a more stealthy upgrade.

technically it is not allowed, but it is fine. I have had them on two of my cars for two different smogs and both went fine. Just feel your smog shop out before you bring your car in. Good luck!

Actually, i found out a FMIC is perfectly legal on any car in California that came with a factory turbo and IC set up. It is part of appendix K of the smog laws, and some guys at the Audizine forum have been through this with referee stations. 100% legal on our cars.
