Fresh New A4 Needing Some Mods
Just picked up my '04 1.8T Q 6sp last week. Traded in my '00 2.8Q 5sp. I think I'm still sad about seeing my old car go. The dealer sold it in 2 days.....RIP.
Anyway, my new B6 is ready for some suspension. I got the sport package but the car is waaaayyy to soft and the P6 all season tires suck. I ordered Bilstein sports from Neuspeed and a Neuspeed rear sway bar. (BTW...the '04 comes with rear sway bar support brackets - no welding needed for the Neuspeed install.) I can't decide if I should replace the springs or not. I don't think I want to lower the car anymore than it is and I am staying with the 17"s just going to some Michelin Pilot Sports or the New Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's.
Here are my questions:
1) What is the factory spring rate for the sport package?
2) Has anyone done thier springs themselves and are the rear springs as hard to do as I have heard?
4) Does anyone know of springs that are heavier but will keep my ride height factory?
Thanks.
