FTW...Nanotech's window regulator DIY...thnx man!
My front passenger side window was making a grinding sound. Ordered the regulator from Mike at Pure-MS and then followed Nanotech's write up. Took about 2 hrs.
I did notice two things before the window regulator started to grind...
1. Auto up/down feature of the passenger side window wasn't working correctly.
2. Also the VAG MOD of windows down/up using the key fob wasn't working either.
Maybe these are the signs that a window regulator is going out.

U should...saved me $200+ bucks of labor. Also, gave me an excuse to drink beer...
on a Saturday morning. I followed your write up step by step...didn't miss one beer break!
