Default A funny smell?

My 1.8T is about 3 months old, just got its first service. About a month ago I started getting a funny smell from the vents when I first turn the car on. It smells like something is wet and not drying out. It clears quickly, but it's a little annoying. Is this normal? Any ideas on what could be causing and how to prevent?

Thanks

Default It's from moisture causing mold growth in your AC. The dealer can stop the smell (more)

and to prevent it in the future, try to run the climate control in econ mode for the last few minutes of driving before you turn the car off for the day. This helps dry out the AC so there isn't remaining moisture for the mold to grow.

Might be your dust and pollen filter getting funky. Have dealer check.

Try Wurth A/C and Heating System Treatment. It will kill what's already growing in there.

Default I haven't taken one out of these cars, but am guessing it is in the same location as previous.

At the base of the windsheild under the cover.
