Default I get about 285miles per tank in my 3.0. I won't buy the new 3.2 Audi

with the way gas is going. I'll get a 2.0T. Manufacturers keep creeping higher in the liters dept instead of getting more hp from the same literage. Not exactly in the "green" spirit.

VW/Audi's 6 cyl has gone from 2.8/3.0/3.2
What's next, 3.4/3.6...

I've seen Nissans with 3.6 V6's. And I think there is a GM 3.8 V6. They just suck more gas for modest hp gains.

Sadly, we as consumers are also to blame, since we buy them. Although, we only buy from the options given.

A small 6cyl with twin turbo would be good to have return. I don't know what gas mileage the 2.7T's get.

Default "we only buy from the options given." Give me a 2.0l N/A or any TDI and I'm buying.

I don't "need" 3.0L for a daily driver. I chose it because I was buying used, wanted an Avant and this clean example was local, so I boguht it.

Increasing HP on a smaller displacememnt motor wouldn't help the mileage either.

Default I'm gonna be like giddy

I love being that guy who gets hybrid-like (not Prius) mpg without the whole driving a hybrid thing

I can't say i am really concerned about the fuel economy. Gas is still cheap enough.

2.7t is reasonable on gas. Not exactly economical, but really not too bad.

Default Exactly. People always assume that with all my upgrades I'm getting crap fuel economy.

They're really surprised when I tell them it's better than stock.
