Default Gas Pump is hard to remove after fill up. (more)

After a fill up, the attendant is haviong a very hard time removing the nozzle from the filler neck. Sometimes it takes a few minutes of pulling and wrenching the nozzle back/forth. I went to a few different gas stations and the problem occurred at different stations and brands. Has anyone else had this problem?

By the way, did you know that the gas cap has an indention on it so you can hang it from your gas door?

Default We pump our own gas in FL.

It would be much nicer if the gas cap were attached to the car...so it just hangs from the door or something. It's too easy to drop.

Yeah it has two slits so it rests right on the open gas door...

Euro-spec models have exactly that.

Default Err yeah I dont really understand why US-spec models don't

I've seen it on our Volvo, on the M-class, and on BMWs, and LOTS of other cars. It's a much better idea, and it completely prevents people from forgetting to put the cap back on.

Default If we don't screw the cap back on, what does the driver info display do?

Does it say check gas cap or something? Or does the CEL light come on?

Default Yeah...completely unncessary. We're pretty reasonable at our self-serve pumps...

I can get 91 octane (at the stations that have 91) for $1.63/gallon sometimes.
