Default Gas Tank Not Filling

I posted this earlier. The problem was my gas tank would not fill all the way.

Well i took it to the dealer and $625.71 later (thats with a 20% off coupon) and five days without my car its fixed. Turns out it was the Fuel Senders that needed to be replaced. All I can say is God Bless!!!!

Default The senders would give incorrect gauge readings, but they are only level sensors.

How could they prevent the tank from filling?

Default that was actually my question as well...

Did you try different gas stations when trying to fill up?

Fuel senders also include check valves that tie into system that makes the pump stop when the tank is full. Its possible that maybe this was defective.

Yeah I have tried everything before taking it to the dealership. Basically what they said was that when I took it in it was reading 1/2 tank of gas. They swept the senders and the gauge bumped up a 1/4 tank more. So they replaced the left and right senders along with the seals. They explained it that the senders were not reading what was actually in the tank, thinking it was full when it was not.
