Default General SS question...where does shifter sit in neutral after installed?

I think I saw one picture of it sitting in neutral...except it was not in the 'stock' neutral position...more upwards, like half way between stock neutral position and 2nd gear...is this how it's going to be when I install mine?

Default Just depends on how you want it.

On my B5 I adjusted it further back so I didn't actually have to reach forward so much.

Default I see...is there any special way I need to install it so that it'll be like stock first time? Or is

re-adjusting needed anyways?

Default you need to make sure that you can engage all the gears

some peopel have had problems with not being able to engage the reverse or 5th gear.

after you are sure u can engage all the gears then there are little things you can do here and there to get it to sit right.

Default You need to mark the top bolt/washer position w/a sharpie b4 disassembly for a ref point...

That top bolt location, positions the entire SS assembly, either fore or aft...
Hope this helps and Good Luck.

Eddie Man, do you mean the 6mm bolt for the shifter adjustment rods?

Default Strat shifter in "Normal" position. Sits a little to the passenger side...

I installed the stratmosphere shifter in my 6-spd. After hours of adjusting, I could get it to shift perfectly smooth, but could not get it to sit in the stock position. Seems to work fine, since I have been using it for a few months. I am planning to bring it to a shop for some other work. Gonna see if they can get it perfect.
