generic intercooler

Has any one ever plumbed up a universal fit intercooler, like the ones sold on ECS tuning for 200 bucks? How much fabrication was needed.

Can you fabricate tubing like that ^^^

been looking at fabing my own and i think it will add up to ~$500 and a week time

I know the plumbing will be the nightmare. As with any project it will probably take twice as long

and cost three times what you first thought. I have fabbed up steel pipe before, and you can find mandrel bent tubing, but I am not sure where to look for aluminum tube.

Where are you thinking of getting the tubing from?

I bought some from this place here (some SS tubing for a downpipe and testpipe and some aluminum for IC pipes).
