Default GIAC Chip Impressions

Got my GIAC chip version 1C in this past weekend!!

The chip is absolutely incredible. This is the newest software and the top end is SWEEET. I have put about 500 miles on the car with the chip and have not had any problems to speak of and we only have the 91 octane out here.

The latest software pulls really hard in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. We can even pass effortlessly in 5th gear on the highway (even with the 20" wheels)

If any of you local guys want to check it out, let me know and we can take you out for a ride.

Get the GIAC chip it rocks!

Default Have you confirmed what the other has said about the 3rd, 4th, and 5th WOT run? Just want to know

if that problem is present without the fuel delivery modifications.

Define "newest software"? When was this software released? Which version is this software?

Default The latest file is 518FJ01C.08A

This version is available for both the E and F ECUs. No hardware upgrades required.

Thanks to Eric and all the other users of the GIAC 02 1.8T chip for valuable feedback on ironing out the drivability issues.

Unfortunately, these small issues have been blown out of proportion by the microscope this chip has been under. We assure all interested parties that the issues were *never* from lack of fueling.
