Well, Mobil does. In fact, it's a 15,000 miles performance guarantee.

Default Clearly, Mobil failed in my situation

I have only used Mobile 1 synthetic 0W-40 since the first oil change. An oil analysis from your specific engine that characterises your driving habits, your environment, etc., is more accurate than any guarantee by a vendor.

Seriously, spend the $20 and get a Blackstone oil analysis done. People spend all this money on oil and filters, yet don't make the small investment to have their specific engine analysed.

Default Do you find that you use oil from the track events?

That's the only time that I actually add oil to my 3.0. I use about 1/2 quart for a track weekend. And yes, I drive the **** out of the car whilst at the track. It lives between 5K and 6500RPM for 20 minutes straight, 4 times a day, times two days.

Funny thing about Mobil 1 and UOAs is that Fe tends to be quite high.Did you experience that at all?

Default Nope, iron seemed average. I attached a picture of my oil analysis

Granted, I had it done at 65K miles. I now have 83K miles. Also, the make-up oil was due to the two track days that were on that oil change.

Default A little more than twice as fast at the track if you measure in quarts per tank of gas

closer to 6 times faster if you measure in quarts per mile

daily driven: .25 qt / 6.0 tanks / 1400 miles
at the track: .25 qt / 2.7 tanks / 250 miles

this is a swag (scientific wild *** guess) of course

Aluminum block?Part of the theory's that Mobil's alkalated napthalene scavenges iron out of deposits
