Got a HUGE frickin stonechip on my hood today!
I know, I know, unavoidable. 1/4" circle right at the fold in the hood, center front, just above the chrome in the grill!
Chip goes down to the exposed bare metal. For the Body-Repair-Challenged is this "minor" project something that a local shop would be willing to take on?
What type of results should I expect to see? Will it be invisible?
Experiences?
TIA

Too little too late, huh? I'm still planning on getting it
once I get the chip fixed. It may have helped.
I have discovered that the amount that one cares for one's ride is directly proportionate to the amount of "bad" things that will happen to that ride.

You'll prolly have to let the paint cure a while....

My winter wheels are Borbet type H (30mm offset) with Dunlop M3s. Really excellent grip.
I agree with your assessment on the "care" factor. I've had mine four months and managed to avoid the other parked car doors - so far. Then I pull a bone-head move and back into my own garbage can! Boy did I wake up the neighbors that morning!!!
If you haven't done the headlight kit, I highly recommend it. Went on really easy and was invisible in less than a week (residual moisture).
