Got a TSX for the girlfriend... check out the pics
We got it in carbon gray. The color is a shade darker than my dolphin, which I really like. I wonder what my A4 would look like in carbon gray?
The TSX has more standard features than the A4. The only 2 options on the TSX are:
1. With OR without navigation
2. 5-speed auto (tiptronic) OR 6-speed manual
It comes standard with heated SPORT seats, premium sound, 6-CD in dash changer, xenons, power driver's seat, auto-dimming mirrors, MULTI-FUNCTION steering wheel, and more... for only 26K!! Why can't Audi make everything standard instead of charging an arm and a leg for additional packages (sport and premium)?

It looks bigger than the A4. I'm actually shopping between these two models. I'm leaning toward the '04 A4 with quattro and 6 speed, but when optioned out it pushing $32K after destination.
The TSX makes more financial sense to me, it's just that it didn't make me feel the same as the A4 I drove.
How do you compare the two? Curious what a current A4 owner has to say about it.

The TSX is very nice. The interior quality is up there near Audi...
and it is pretty tough looking car in person. I saw lots of them in person while we were doing the shoot for the ads.

why they dont make everything standard?
coz someone dont really like the other features
not everyone need the sport package and stuff too...
well the acura can do everything for 26k, but its still an acura...cant compare the price of a japanese car vs an european car...
why dont compare a korean luxury car's price vs a japanese luxury car's price?
no offend to acura, i still like the TSX, but in this segment, most people will just go for euros, maybe the IS300 is an exception coz of the FR design...

Well... The car handles well...
I haven't been able to open her up yet since I'm trying to stay with in the "break-in period" rules. The car handles nicely around corners, but not as good as my 1.8TQM. We test drove the automatic and the 6-speed and found that the 6-speed was definitly more fun to drive and you could feel the 200HP from the engine. The 5-speed automatic was weak and I couldn't really feel the power of the car. I think my 1.8TQ 5-speed could easily beat the automatic. However we got the 5-speed auto tiptronic for her.
The car looks really aggressive from the front, but to RSX'y in the back. Overall I think it's a good car for her and very affordable. I really like the extra standard features on the car (auto-dimming, sport seats, heated seats, multi-function steering wheel, etc...) with the price. Console looks great and very ergonomic. Plus it comes with Interior Aluminum Trim. Geesh. More bells and whistles than the standard A4 for less. Can't beat that.
Overall if I were to choose between the two cars, I'd probably stick with my Audi, however, after seeing all the features we got with the TSX, I feel like I paid too much for my A4.

true dat.. I understand that people might not like the extra features, but...
IMO, if you're gonna spend over 30K for a car, why not just get it fully loaded? What's an extra 2-3K? That's what my thinking is anyway...

TSX is definetely the biggest bang for the buck in this segment but....
no wagon for the US (there is a Honda Accord Wagon in Europe) and you can't beat the quattro on the A4. If I were to look for a FWD sedan the TSX would definetely be on my list!
Take some interior pics and show off that "great ergonomics" :-D
