Default Greetings from Singapore!

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/49676/a4front2.jpg"></center><p>Hi,

Greetings from Singapore!

Here's my first post in this forum. My month old A4 2.0 Multitronic (Dolphin Grey) which costs USD$78,000 or SGD$136,000 over here. Previous car was a '92 Toyota Corolla 1.6 Manual, hence the handle Toyotaman.

It's expensive to own a car here, but S'pore is really a nice city to live in.

Regards
Toyotaman

Default Hey, I lived in Singapore for 6 years.

It's a pretty nice place, sort of like a sim city. Yes it's very expensive to own a car in Singapore, because of its limited space the government wants to limit the amount of automobile in the country. If I remember correctly you also need to bid for a license to own cars and that alone can be the cost of a car in NA. I remember reading about an article that states you can buy 6 cars in NA but only 1 of the same kind in Singapore. The family I used to live with had a Volvo750 Turbo I believe, I think it came to roughly 200k SG.I am not sure about the currency now but it used to be the same as Canadian dollars. In fact they sold their Nissan and actually made a PROFIT on a 2nd hand car. The public transportations are fantastic though, MRT, buses as well as dirt cheap Taxi rides. Anywaz hope you enjoy your new car.
