Default Has anyone replaced their 17" sport tires with All seaons?

If so, how much and what type?

Do you guys with the sport package and in the snow belt plan on driving with the stock summer tires?

I live in NJ and am wondering if I get the sport package , if I should get all season tires.

Default Most people get an additional set of wheels and tires for the winter...

I've got a set 16" wheels and snow tires for the winter - it beats mounting tires on the sports wheels twice a year.

What's a ballpark amount for a set of 17" wheels & tires for winter use? Thanks, Tom

Default Just got my 235/45-17 Dunlop M2s. Putting them on my stock rims; will buy new rims in spring ...

... for my summer tires. I am leaning towards Kahn RSS or RSR. Sweet rims.

Default Depends on whether you get steel wheels or cheap alloys

I ended up getting 16" IWC Quicksilver alloys and 215/55/16's for about Cdn.$1500 (US$950). I decided to spring for alloys when I found out the Audi dealers were asking close to Cdn.$120 per steel wheel.

I don't know about 17"s, but you could price them at TireRack.

Because if I order the sport pkg. I'll have 17" tires & rims so I figured I would stick to the 17's even in Winter. But I guess I could drop down to 16" for winter use. Any thoughts??? Tom

Just picked up a set of 235/45-17 M2's myself with 17X8 ASA wheels....a little over $1400 with shipping.

Gotta slap those babies on tomorrow afternoon...got a winter storm watch for tomorrow nite. Off to a big old parking lot to check out the handling if there's an inch or more of snow.
