Helmets

I'm interested in finding a used helmet to use for driver's school. What are models. brands and features that I need to have?

I thought it has to meet Snell 95 ?

snell better for penetration resistance...

but last time i looked, it was not as good for longer duration broad area protection. but obviously meets DOT's (very mimimal) requirements, if sold in US. when i was a biker i wore snell compliant lid, but in a car you are less exposed to things like guard rails. i probably douldnt go snell for in-car usage. probable a better thread on this in the bmwmoa or other bike enthusiast web page.
