I've replaced the battery and even the ignition switch in hopes of solving these problems with no luck. The Wipers, Turn signal and Window switches don't work. The AC unit works intermittently.

i too am having probs of a similar nature .about amonth after buying my 2003 19tdia4 avant i had too park the car on some long grass soon after i was driving on the motorway when a mouse appeared on the nearside wiper blade ,needless to say he was very soon blown onto the road and at and just before this happend my probs started to occour DRIVER SIDE HEATER FAN TO THE WINDSCREEN INOP,TIME AND DATE INOP,DRIVER SIDE HEATER ONLY BLOWS COLD. IS IT POSSIBLE YOU PARKED YOUR CAR SOMWHERE A MOUSE OR MICE COULD GET IN TO YOUR UNDERBONNET?

 

That or water intrusion into fuse boxes such that the car still downloads codes, but is not communcation with the rest of the car. Not terribly familiar with the electrics, but know the comfort module, the ECU, and fuse box underneath the ECU are good places to start. Unfortunately, you will just have to start tearing into the car and look for a short somewhere. Case in point, I spent the better part of an afternoon looking for the componenet on my 300ZX that was causing my brake lights not to illuminate. Finally found a bad component in the back near the taillight.

 

It ended up being the comfort module.
