Default Help! I need some quick advice re: the "sales tax holiday" I've been reading about on this site!

My car is IN, a couple weeks early! I'm tempted to skip work tomorrow to pick it up, but then again I need a job to pay for this thing!

On the other hand, if possible, I might like to wait until the sales tax holiday is in effect to complete the transaction, but I can't find any info about it anyplace other than on this site- no one else seems to have heard about it. Is it legit? Did it pass? Is Maryland participating? Can I REALLY buy a CAR tax-free?

Please tell me what you know, I need to call the dealership to set up an appointment ASAP. Thanks in advance!

I live in OH and I heard on NPR (National Public Radio)it would only apply to transactions under $100. But I don't think anyone actually will know until it passes.

Default I'm in the same boat....

I'm due to take delivery of my A4 Thursday and need to inform my dealer by Wed if I'm picking it up or delaying it for a week or so. Only on sales less than $100 isn't much of a tax holiday. If anybody has any more info please post...thanks.

Default check the link I posted a few days ago...it has the latest info on the status of the bill and

from my understanding the likeliness that it will pass is probably 35%

Here is info on the bill. I didn't see any mention of a $100 limit.<ul><li><a href="http://murray.senate.gov/taxholiday.html">Tax free holiday</a></li></ul>
