Default Help! Knocking! Difference between bad driveshaft and bad differential

Ive got loud knocking sound coming from center/rear of the car as i accelerate when the car is warm. I went to a few shops, noone can diagnose it, its either the driveshaft (cv joint in it) or the differential. what symptoms would one give?
any tips would be appreciated, this blows

Default I had a bad driveshaft on my last A4

You could physically see the exhaust pipe moving up and down as the driveshaft hit it (it was in the rear) it ended up snapping about 5 miles after it first started knocking. But mine was the same as you described. It was a loud knocking sound coming from the rear of the car. Have you taken it to a legit VAG independent shop?

Ive actually read your post about that, ive had this problem for a few months already its just getting worse and worse, shoulda snapped a long time ago if that was it im guessing

Ive taken the car to a few shops around here, but having a hard time finding professionals, really time to get this fixed

Dealer prioties:

1. Take your money (and run)
2. Take more of your money
3. Maybe, just maybe fix your car
