Help with my Motor mount install.......
Here is a pic from the tech section that shows how you should trace the original position of the nut anchoring the mm to the frame.

Here is a pic of how mine came out after I installed the new mount. I cant get it to line up in the original position. However, it feels like it seated correctly. Should I just move on? Perhaps its because its an aftermarket mount. Also, the mounts are interchangable from left to right, correct?

my understanding. motor mounts are what attaches motors to the frame of the car
you might have to use a jack to level the position of the engine since it looks like the engine dropped a bit based on your pic.
lastly, you might get better/faster responses at the B5 forum...gl...

Its fine, but a few comments......
Don't tighten the bottoms up until you've installed the right and left side mount. Let the engine rest in its natural position , then torque them to spec and you should not have a problem.
If your only replacing one mount(bad idea), it won't go back into its original postion becasue the other side is probably just as collapsed.
