Default How much $ have you spent on your car since out of warranty? (no mods)

Since out of warranty I think in April I went passed 50K. I've had 2 replace...

1. water pump
2. Timing belt(didn't have 2, but replaced when water pump impellor cracked)
3. passenger window regulator
4. in the process of replacing cracked exhaust manifold

I know this is not the end, eventually I will have to upgrade my clutch.

Rant over...still love the car...still look back at her when I leave her in a parking lot.

Default I quit counting :(....at least $3K in the last 6 months....

-rear brake pads and rotors
-timing belt and water pump, plus accessory pulley
-coolant flange and sensor
-MAF sensor
-clutch
-multiple cp failures
-now I have to get new tires...went a little too long and my front right tire shreaded on the way to work this morning....not good.

Of course when I first got it I spent alot of money on exterior/interior upgrades (S4 pedals and dead pedal, lip spoiler, tint, S4 blades).

I'm pretty much done with my A4....try to get what I can out of it and move on. It's turned into a love/hate relationship.

Default After 40K, I think only about $1500-$1800

Includes t-belt, fixing a tranny leak, front brakes, coolant system fix.

Not too bad so far...(knocking on wood)

I'm not too upset, just wish $ could have been spent toward mods (suspension, wheels, etc)

Default Not sure....might just get a new Jetta...would love a Passat, but don't want the big payment.

I just need something that has a full warranty so I can be stress free for at least 3-4 years
Looked at getting an extended warranty on my A4, but with 82K miles, not worth it now.

Default Let's see... $3k for...

$3000 = trans replacement
$400 = clutch
$200 = mounts
$1200 = control arms
$600 = suspension
$300 = brakes (upgrade to front)
$500 = tires (order today)
$1800 = tb and wp (in-warranty, on my dime)
$150 = alignment

After all of that, I'm still stage ZERO!

How goddam depressing? Why'd I bother to figure that out?

Understood. I'm poor now, too, so I'm done for a while

Default Brake rotors and pads, Brake flush

Besides brake stuff - which I think is a maintenance stuff, I had to fix Coolant leak and replace brake bulb.

One coil pack. I don't consider brakes and belts failures, to me they are maintenance.
