Default Check my sig for VAG log of torque improvement from the BMC CDA I've got.

I don't have a corresponding one for the Supersprint, unfortunately. Chip companies usually claim about 10-15lb.ft. gains, and I've heard of no high flow cat specifically for our cars.

Default From what I can feel, the exhaust mostly helped with throttle response, not as much on power...

If I'm to venture a guess, the Supersprint, which I did first, gave me at most a handful of horses, and then the CDA gave me the 10-15 you saw on my plot (which I cannot say if is at all amplified by the freer exhaust). The Wetterauer chip I've got sitting on my desk for a long time now is advertised for another 10 or so. I'm not aware that Miltek has a cat specifically for the 3.0; do you have any link? My guess is that's gonna give again at most a handful of horses, if not neglible... One thing you didn't mention are headers: Supersprint has a design for the 2.8 that they say would also work with our 3.0; that's claimed to be good for 5-10hp. The big thing about headers however is that the engine needs to come out for the install, so they'd be rather expensive in the end.

I did think it slightly odd you didn't say anything in that thread when I made the post :P

I was surprised how much more strongly the car pulls; well worth the money in my book indeed!

Default You're right...no Miltek cat for the 3.0 on Stratmosphere site, but I found this...

apparently for the 2.8 on the B5, which I found intriguing. Can't vouch for them, no experience w/ them. I don't know if they'd work in a B6 application.

http://members.aol.com/SportsCarConvert/AudiAS.html</a
