Yeah, the 3.0 6mt is pretty good at steady speeds. I have gotten about the same.

Default Average of about 55-60 on the work drive. TIP allows me to keep it from downshifting, keeping RPM's

low.

Default It is a long and sad story that started with a blown timing belt 15k before the 105k...

scheduled replacement. Totaled the valve train and engine but we didn't know that. It took another 2 years and $12k to get it right but with the new engine the car acts likes its new. The gas mileage is outstanding, etc. The dealer tried to work with me but they're not going to lose money. AoA would not do anything at all to fix the engine even though the timing belt never made it to their scheduled mileage. Basically AoA F@#$d me and the dealer. For a blow-by-blow search this forum for "Oil Usage."

105k is a gamble, most change it 75k-85k.

Default yeah, but Audi originally had 105k as a TB interval....later they changed it to 75k.

I'll be doing mine before X-mas and will do a good write up.

Default they changed it for the 1.8T, not the 3.0 as far as I've seen. My A6 3.0....

is at the dealer now getting a new cylinder head due to a camshaft problem and I'm have the TB service done since it's apart.
The service advisor said it wasn't due yet and the tech said that I could wait 20k miles if I wanted to. (at 76k now) But since the motor is apart, I'm saving quite a bit on labor.

I'm going to do my A4 TB at 85k miles.
