Injection cleanining

Hey guys,
I have a A4, 1.8T with 61K miles on it. The other day the check engine light came on. Went to Autozone, bored the code reader and found out that the injection flow was not as it's supposed to be (I think that it was error code P0411).
I bought one of those off the shelf liquids for cleaning the injection but from what I read on line they don;t work that well.
Does anybody have any idea if this is a maintenance i can perform myself, or do I have to take it to a mechanic.

Techron usually works pretty well for over the counter stuff.

P0411 is usually the secondary air injection incorrect flow code

this has nothing to do with cleaning fuel injection. If this is infact the code you need to look for vac leaks and or replace a valve (can't remember the name) which is near the air box.

Correct - purge regulator valve.

thats the one... I had to replace and my P0411 code has not come back since

I reset the error code and it hasn;t come up again.
Should I bother to have this is issue fixed? Or is it possible that it just misfired once and thats it?
