Inspection swap for ecodes?

hmmmmmmmm
That is a good question.... I have not had a car inspected the right way since I have owned a car....... but I would guess that they would not know the difference... but I could be wrong...
Or you could pay a gas station and as long as you pass emissions they really don't care about the rest..... for a fee of course.

yeh i was thinking of ecodes, but if...
it causes a problem passing inspection...then i will have to think twice about that one. I mean they arent DOT approved...so does anyone know?
Stupid DOT...we want clear not orange!

They know the difference... I had to swap them back and fourth last year.
NEVER get rid of your stock lights... I got a nice red fail sticker, and when I returned with the US spec lights, I passed.

wahhhhhhh?
all beam patterns are assymetric, to be otherwise is illogical, you just blind oncoming drivers... I know the ECODES are more defined but DOT ones are not symettrical... I was sure that it was just to do with having a reflector somewhere on your car to follow regs. \

nope...
With E-codes, the right beam is much longer than the left beam (I guess it's reversed in the UK), to prevent blinding the on-coming traffic while lighting up more of the road shoulder.
With US-spec lights, both beams are about the same length, but the left beam is pointing just slightly lower than the right how. However, the difference between the two beams isn't anywhere as dramatic as between the two beams of the e-codes.
