Installed H&R Rear Sway Bar - Best Mod EVER
It took just over 30 minutes with a lift, a friend, and the right socket set adapters. After unbolting the factory sway bar we undid the rear exhaust bushings. I would recommend you do this step first as it will make getting to the bolts a lot easier. We were then able to slide the factory bar out and put the new one in. We tightened down the bushings first, and then used a jack stand to push the wheels up so the 2 ends would fall into place. This was a great help, without it I don't think we could have lined the bolts up.
Now for the fun part, testing the new product…
I have always been more comfortable with oversteer, and I am sure most of you feel the same way, and I just hate understeer, I just get the feeling I'm going to die when my car decides not to turn and pushes toward a guard rail..
The sway bar virtually eliminated the cars understeer. I couldn't believe it at first, then I started taking the corners I am used to taking 10+mph faster then before and the back tires actually started to chirp instead of the front coming lose. It was an amazing feeling. The car actually handles better. It is much more neutral just barely bordering on oversteer.
For ~$175, and under an hour to install this is the greatest modification I could imagine. I set it to the stiffest of the two possible settings on the bar.
I'll be going to an autocross at Cal Ripken Stadium, off I95 in Baltimore on Sunday (May 29th) so I will really be able to see what it can do.
Overall a great addition to my basically stock car, I just wish all mods were this easy and had such a great impact.

Not ture at all
The bigger the better for a rear sway bar to induce oversteer. Softening the rear sway bar or removing it would make the car understeer even more, (front tires lose traction) To make the car oversteer/become more neutral stiffen the rear sway bar.

http://rogerkrausracing.com/overundr.html</a
