Default INtercooler
The stock intercooler is Air to water right? Has anyone found any ways to boost the systems cooling compacity? air ducting? anything?

Default Not much...
but one trick the VW 1.8T owners do is to buy the TT's fender liner and put it in their wheel well behind the aircooler to facilitate more airflow over the intercooler.

That's assuming the 2002 A4s doesn't have it already, which I don't think it does.
