IPod / Blitzsafe Question
I did a search, but i still wanna be sure of this. I've got '03 1.8T w/ Bose and 6Disc Indash CD Changer:
If i install a blitzsafe adapter for use w/ an IPod, am i goin to lose functionality of my Indash CD Changer? How do i go back and forth betweent the IPod and the Indash Changer?
Is Blitzsafe the only company making such an adapter? I've read that the wire quality is not very good and you can still here some static/noise due to this. Do i have any other options? Is the adapter that autotoys the blitzsafe adapter?
And can you guys please post pics of how you mounted the ipod and where the miniheadphone jack comes out? Someone had it coming out of the small compartment under the armrest. Someone had it coming out of the ashtray. I just wanna make sure i'm not missing some good ideas. Thx guys.

no, you hook up the blitzsafe to your cd changer (the one that the stealership mounts in the trunk) you do not lose your indash cd player... if you want to control volume and tracking get ICE-Link... www.densionusa.com/ice-link.htm

you switch between the two by pressing the CD button. you can use both the built-in 6-disc cd changer and the iPod with the blitzsafe. however you cannot add an external cd changer. you can, if you want to design a custom A-B channel type switch (parts from radio shack).
make sure its Blitzsafe part # AUDI AUX V.1B for the Symphony II radio for '03s. autotoys is ok but their service can be lousy. spend the extra $20-25 and get it direct from blitzsafe
my car is only prepped for the iPod, sorry no pictures. can't decide yet between the iPod or Nomad Zen NX extra.

CD changer will still work. To switch back and forth just push the CD button
