Default Just got back from the dealership...

I took my car to the dealership today for a diagnosis since my coolant warning came on again after I filled it up. The result was that the coolant flange was broken, which costs $483 to replace. In addition to that, they also found that the water pump was broken. I was quoted $954 to replace the water pump and the timing belt.

I have a 2002 A4 1.8T w/ 52,500 miles. I was just wondering if this is a reasonable time for these parts to be replaced. Secondly, are those good prices, or should I get them done at another shop? If so, any good suggestions around Seattle area?

On the the brighter note, I recently got my head unit installed (Kenwood ddx7017) Thanks to Paul (stadtjunge) for helping me out. Here are some pics:

Default head unit

I was looking into this unit, I see it reads CDs and DVDs of all types. If I copy all my MP3s onto a DVD, will I be able to scroll through and select folders of music to play?

Default I've tried to do that too, unfortunately you can't...

The music would play in order or there's a random setting that shuffles the songs.

Default $483 is way to much for the coolent flange and repair, in my opinion....,

Which dealership quoted the work? Barrier or University?

Default See that's what I thought too. Isn't a coolent flange is like a $10 part?

Barrier quoted me that price... I think I'm gonna go get a quote from University and see.
