Default Just got back from stealership service......

They said that the clanking noise I'm hearing is from my "aftermarket" brake pads. "We can fix it for you for only $303." "No thanks, I'll be coming to pick my car up." Supposedly the spring clip doesn't fit right and is making them clank. Hmmmm. I don't know how this is possible exactly. I installed the pads myself and the spring clip is on very tightly.

Default They are right. It is because of pads and spring clip. Its nothing serious...

I had the same issue a month ago with my pads, took it to my local tuner, after a relube, everything is fine now.

And where the pad makes contact with the caliper, to avoid squealing later.

Default What type of lube?

How would lube help with the pad clanging around?
