Keyless remote range problem?
Am i the only with this problem? I used to be able to use my keyless remote from at least 50ft away from my 2002 Audi A4. However, the range has shortened considerably recently. Sometims, i have to stand pretty much next to car to be able to use it. I have brought both my keyless remote to the dealer multiple times, and they have replaced batteries in both the remotes in just as many times but still, the problem remains. I kept telling the Audi dealership that the problem cannot be with the keyless remotes because regardless of which remotes i use, the range just was not like what it used to be. I suspect the problem is with the transceiver on the car itself.

I understand that this might help but it does not explain why the keyless remote range is not what it used to be though. The only thing that University Audi (Seattle) did was to replace the batteries in both my remotes, and of course, that did not help. Fortunately, there is another Audi dealership in town so i will probably try my luck there.
